Camelot Castle Hotel owner Irina Mappin and Sea Org’s Robin Handy and Jan Cross

What’s such a high ranking Scientologist doing training Irina Mappin, c0-owner of Camelot Castle Hotel in Tintagel?

“The best possible friends, mentors and inspiration one can have” says the caption to this picture “Jan Cross and Robin Handy with Irina Mappin on completion of her executive training as Executive Director of Camelot Castle Hotel and all its associated groups and companies”.

Ah, yes. All those associated groups and companies doing all that work for Scientology like swamping locals with its propaganda DVDs and fake newspapers.. and offering ‘free’ Scientology courses to people in the region – including the Plymouth area.

The presence of such high-ranking Scientologists at Camelot Castle Hotel makes you wonder: what are the Mappins really doing in Tintagel on behalf of Scientology? What is their real mission?

It’s clearly not running a profitable, successful hotel. The shabby state of Camelot Castle Hotel and more than 180 ‘terrible’ or ‘poor’ TripAdvisor reviews proves that.

So might it have something to do with the new Plymouth ‘Ideal Org’ planned for the recently purchased Royal Fleet Hotel?

Here’s what L.Ron Hubbard said about ‘Ideal Orgs’:

The ideal org would be an activity where people came to achieve freedom and where they had confidence they would attain it.It would have enough space in which to train, process and administrate without crowding.

It would be located where the public could identify and find it… .

One could look at this ideal org and know that this was the place a new civilization was being established for this planet.

The ideal org is the image one builds toward. It is the product of the causative actions of many. Anything which is short of an ideal org is an outpoint that can be put right. The end product is not just an ideal org but a new civilization already on its way.”

For a somewhat saner assessment of what Scientology is trying to do in Cornwall and Devon, take a look at a more critical view of Plymouth’s Ideal Org. 🙂

  1. The fat lunatic himself would be turning in his grave if he could see the state of Scientology today. He won’t be turning in his grave because they cremated his body (they had their reasons…) but that’s beside the point.

This from a lecture L Ron Retard gave on December 31st 1960, ‘The Genus of Dianetics and Scientology’:

“We own a tremendous amount of property. We own a tremendous amount of material, and so forth. And it keeps growing. But that’s not important. When buildings get important to us, for God’s sake, some of you born revolutionists, will you please blow up central headquarters. If someone had put some HE [high explosive] under the Vatican long ago, Catholicism might still be going. Don’t get interested in real estate. Don’t get interested in the masses of buildings, because that’s not important.”

So… why is Scientology interested in all these ‘Ideal Orgs’, if its founder thought they were a mistake?

Money, pure and simple. They are a device for sucking money out of the faithful, and forwarding it on to cult HQ in Clearwater. Whatever poor old Ron thought his cult was going to be about, it ended up being nothing but greed.
